Mina Mina Dreaming by Judy Napangardi Watson

Judy Napangardi Watson was born in 1935. She is a woman of incredible energy and this is transmitted to her work through her dynamic use of colour and dragged dotting. The painting tells the story of a group of travelling women. They began their journey at Mina Mina where digging sticks emerged from the ground. Taking the sticks the woman travelled east creating Janyinki and other sites. Judy’s work is in high demand and her work is held in numerous collections such as the Aboriginal Art Museum in Utrecht.
