Tali Tali by Alice Nampitjinpa

Alice Nampitjinpa was born in 1943 near Taalalpi. Alice used to be an active dancing women who travelled widely to participate in ceremonies and “Women’s Law” meetings. Here Alice painted the vast sandhills (Tali) around Taalalpi, the country she travelled with her parents when she was a small child. Taalalpi holds great spiritual significance for Alice. Alice’s paintings are held in many collections such as State Art Galleries en the Aboriginal Art Museum in Utrecht. Cat. 07AN130
