If you’re new to Aboriginal art the best advice we can offer is to take your time. The more you look at the paintings, the better they get. And even more detail is discovered when you learn about the story that is behind the painting.
Authenticity
As Centred Art only sells paintings acquired from community art centres, each and every painting comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) issued by the art centre. The COA usually provides information about the artist and the painting. Because the COA is issued by the art centre, provenance of the works is guaranteed. This is always important but more so in the case of an investment.
Things you should know
Generally all paintings in the Centred Art collection are acrylic on linen or canvas. If you purchase a painting it will be sent to you unstretched and rolled in a tube. All prices on our website include packaging and postage within Australia. Please note it is possible to pick up the painting in person.
Centred Art is able to arrange stretching of the painting at a small additional fee.

Online gallery
Viewing a photo of a painting and seeing the actual painting itself can be a very different experience! We endeavour to ensure that the photos in the online gallery are true in likeness to the actual piece, however size, colour, detail and texture are sometimes hard to capture on camera. Please don’t hesitate to ask us for high resolution images or a more detailed image of any artwork you are interested in.
